First of all, don't sweat the pic, you do get the men's version even though both listings currently show the women's colors. Subtle difference between pink and gray around the heel but i included pics so you can see what the men's looks like.WINS:This is absolutely a runner's shoe. Different from the Epic React v1 and v2. It has 25% more React foam, a wider toe box to accommodate toe splay and swelling over longer miles. The new Flyknit material feels great so far (only 10 miles in) as it's light and very breathable which is welcome here in TX.This is the first Nike running shoe that i was able to buy in my standard running shoe size rather than going up .5-1 size. They finally conformed on something that will hopefully make it easier for folks to get the right fit on the first try.The outsole rubber is very grippy and i don't anticipate any issues with slipping or durability. The arch of the shoe is high and the shoe does not have a lot of flex. This is by design to support you for a longer run without causing premature fatigue in your feet.Additionally my ankle locks like a dream without having to overly tighten laces across the forefoot.BE AWARE:There is only 4 eyelets on this shoe which makes it more difficult to customize the fit across your forefoot. I still had no issues creating a good fit for me despite having a nueroma to deal with so i'm not taking stars off for it.The high arches felt strange when i first put them on, but after walking/running for a short time, it felt great and has the benefit mentioned above so definitely no stars off as this shoe is for running and it feels great when running.BOTTOM LINE:I can't wait to get these dirty!DISCLAIMER:I bought these with my own money because as an avid runner I wanted to test the new shoe Nike produced to try to help reduce runner injuries. I was not given these shoes nor am i being compensated in any way for the review. Just wanted to share with other runners!I have Nike React Flyknits I use at the gym. What I noticed about these compared to my Adidas Ultra Boosts is that they stay comfortable after long periods of continuous use. The Ultra Boosts feel amazing for shorts periods, but after full days of walking of long workouts that end with cardio, my feet would start to hurt a little. These shoes keep their comfort for long periods of time. I’m currently using them for work in a fast paced environment where I’m on my feet for 6 hours+. Definitely recommend! For the past twenty years I've interspersed visits to the gym with walking, usually between 25 and 30 miles a week on concrete, brick and asphalt. When a nasty bout of plantar fasciitis struck, I wanted a well cushioned and stable shoe after the plantar pain subsided. This shoe is the most cushioned shoe I've ever owned. Quite comfortable for walking. It feels as though it would work well for jogging and running. I have about 700 miles on my first pair. The toe material is wearing and the sole is thinning but the cushioning is still fresh. The shoe did cause some heel blisters because I wear them with low cut running socks. The positive aspects of the shoe kept me wearing them until they broke in and no longer irritated my heel. Regular socks would prevent that, of course. And, they don't look clunky, either. When they get dirty, I remove the insert and wash in the washer. The washing doesn't reduce their cushion or deteriorate the fabric. They're a little more expensive but worth the extra cost. Especially if a well cushioned jogging shoe is appealing. So, my last pair of Nike shoes were Air Icarus back in the early 90s. After that the quality really dipped, friends had horrific problems with nike running shoes so I went with other brands. For this style, it's rather narrow and definitely for the slender-footed. Which is the trend with footwear. For these "knit" styles, I wore them for a while for the knit to stretch out. Then I took out the insoles to allow my feet to sit a tiny bit lower in the shoe, giving my foot more room. The insole is only a couple milimeters thick, so I don't think I'm going to be missing out on any cushioning. But it did make all the different in allowing my foot to fit! I'll be running in them as soon as the weather clears up, and I'll update my review with how many miles they last. I'm not optimistic, lol. Oh, the color is a little off. The photo appears red, but they're more fluorescent IRL. Loud and obnoxious.Muy cómodosHave not been running in a long time and these helped stop my shin splints issues on day one. Soft, stable and has a nice heel drop rate. Very pleased.ExcelenteSo comfortableGreat cushioning. Can't run in anything else now.Lots of quality issues with this product.Firstly the shoes came in Amazon box packing and not the original nike box as it was damagedin transit. Secondly the inner soles are missing in the shoes. Thirdly no size tags on the inner tongue of the shoes. This poses a lot of questions on the genuiness of the product. Amazon should verify the product quality of such sellers. Simply a waste of time and efforts to make such purchase. Asics Nimbus, ON Cloudsurfer, Brooks Ghost, Saucony Rise Iso2, Under Armour HOVR Velocity und den Under Armour HOVR Machina.
